Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. In the state of Tennessee, PTs are able to see clients via direct access. Meaning, you can see me "directly" without a physician referral.

  • I do not. My services are a flat rate, however, I can provide you a super-bill after each visit to submit to your insurance. The initial assessment is 1.5 hour for $190 and follow up visits are 1 hour for $130.

  • Literally anything you are comfortable in. You'll see me in leggings, an athletic tee, and tennis shoes!

  • The first session is 1.5 hours. This visit is longer because it is important to me to have ample time for history intake, examination, initiating a plan, and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. The examination is a full body assessment of the spine, hips, abdominal wall, and pelvis. The pelvic exam includes an intra-vaginal muscle and tissue assessment. Typically, I begin treatment the first day and I send you home with at least 1-2 things to work on. Follow-up visits are 1 hour and consist of hands-on treatment, exercise, and education the full hour.

  • Pelvic exams can be nerve-wracking for anyone, especially if you are experiencing pain. I always thoroughly explain the process before proceeding. However, you have the right to decline, or wait! Depending on the reason for the visit, an intra-vaginal assessment may not be dire. That is one thing I love about pelvic health- there are always different avenues to assess and treat. I will gladly discuss this with you and address any concerns you may have.

  • Yes! Especially for delivery preparation, I have had several bring their significant others for education. It is also common for new mothers to bring their newborns. I'm always flexible and willing to help you multi-task for feedings, pumping, etc!
